PM Modi Praises Vikrant Massey’s Film The Sabarmati Report

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised Vikrant Massey’s recently released film ‘The Sabarmati Report’, saying that “the truth is coming out and in a way that common people can see it.”

The drama-thriller, starring Massey and Raashii Khanna, is based on the tragic burning of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra, Gujarat, on February 27, 2002.

Reacting to a post in praise of the movie, Prime Minister Modi, in a post on X, said, “It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”

The Sabarmati Report has earned Rs 1.69 crore at the box office on its opening day. Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, the film released on Friday and is inspired by true events. It also stars Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in pivotal roles. The movie was initially announced in January this year with a planned release on May 3.

However, the release was postponed to July and later to August 2, with reports suggesting a September or October date. The film was finally released in theaters on November 15.
