Pat Cummins record IND vs AUS: Australia leveled the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series 1-1 with a commanding 10-wicket win over India in IND vs AUS 2nd Test in Adelaide.

After India dominated the first Test with a convincing 295-run win in Perth, Australia roared back in Adelaide, wrapping up the pink-ball Test match in just two and a half days. Australia’s emphatic win in Adelaide was spearheaded by standout performances from Pat Cummins, Travis Head, and Mitchell Starc.

Pat Cummins Achieves Milestone Never Seen Before Against India

Australia skipper Pat Cummins delivered a masterclass in IND vs AUS 2nd Test. After picking up two wickets in India’s first innings, he wreaked havoc in the second with his relentless pace and accuracy, claiming five wickets in just 14 overs. His lethal spell skittled India for 175, leaving the visitors with no answer.

Cummins also made history, becoming the first bowler to achieve five-wicket hauls against India in Tests, ODIs, and Day-Night (Pink Ball) Tests.

On India’s 10-wicket loss in Adelaide Test, Cummins said: “It is great to level the series. I think this week we are back to our best.”

About him bagging five wickets in India’s second innings, Cummins said: “I was pretty pumped up. It probably felt like some big wickets in the context of the match. I was pretty excited, more so than normal.”

The premier pacer also praised his pace-mates: “It was a herculean effort from (Mitchell) Starc and Scotty (Boland) on the first day. It was hot, close to 40 degrees, it was a huge effort from these guys.”

On Mohammed Siraj’s heated exchange with Head, Cummins said: “It is heated, it is a big series, it has been packed with crowds on all days and so there is a lot riding on it. I think the umpire stepped in pretty quickly and that was the end of it.”
