The Maharashtra government on Saturday formally announced the allocation of portfolios among the ministers. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, has been entrusted with key responsibilities. The allocations were confirmed in a letter from Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan to the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will oversee critical departments, including Home, Energy (excluding Renewable Energy), Law and Judiciary, General Administration, Information and Publicity, and other unallocated portfolios. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been given charge of Urban Development, Housing, and Public Works (Public Enterprises). Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will manage the Finance and Planning Department and State Excise.

Maharashtra Portfolios: Bawankule Gets Revenue Dept, Pankaja Munde Alloted 3 Portfolios
Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule has been entrusted with the Revenue Department, while Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil will handle Water Resources, including the Godavari and Krishna Valley Development Corporation. Hasan Mushrif will take charge of Medical Education, and Chandrakant Patil has been assigned Higher and Technical Education as well as Parliamentary Affairs. Ganesh Naik will oversee the Forests Department, and Dada Bhuse will manage School Education.
In other notable assignments, Pankaja Munde has been given the Environment, Climate Change, and Animal Husbandry portfolios. Atul Save will handle OBC Welfare, Dairy Development, and Renewable Energy. Dhananjay Munde has been assigned the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection portfolio, while Aditi Tatkare will manage Women and Child Development.
Jaykumar Rawal will oversee Marketing and Protocol, and Shambhuraj Desai has been given Tourism, Mining, and Ex-Servicemen Welfare. Shivendra Bhosale will manage Public Works (excluding Public Enterprises), and Sanjay Rathod has been assigned Soil and Water Conservation.
The announcement comes as Maharashtra assembly was prorogued on Saturday after the end of the winter session. The budget session of the state legislature will commence in Mumbai on March 3.
