As rescue operations continued in Assam’s Dima Hasao district, rescue workers recovered another worker’s body trapped inside the coal mine on Saturday. This brings the total number of bodies recovered to two, with the first being retrieved from the mine on Wednesday. The two deceased workers were part of a group of nine who had been trapped in the Umrangsu mine on Monday after a sudden rush of water flooded the quarry.
