Dhanashree Verma, the wife of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, addressed the ongoing divorce rumours and social media trolls on Wednesday through her Instagram profile. The 28-year-old criticised the ‘faceless trolls’ and expressed her disappointment over the ‘baseless writing’ circulating on social media. The rumours about Dhanashree and Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s separation began circulating after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram. Adding to the speculation, Chahal has also been posting cryptic messages on his Instagram stories over the past few days.
In her Instagram story, Dhanashree wrote, “The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate.”

Dhanashree also highlighted the hard work it took her to build a name for herself and noted that while negativity spreads easily online, it requires courage and compassion to support others.
“I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness; but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others
“I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification. Om Namah Shivaay,” she concluded.
Here’s what Dhanashree Verma posted on her Instagram story:
On January 7, Yuzvendra Chahal, shared a cryptic post amidst separation rumours. The post, attributed to Socrates, read, “Silence is a profound melody, for those who can hear it above all the noise.”
Although nothing has been officially confirmed yet, the rumours about trouble in their marriage started circulating after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram. The speculation grew when Chahal removed all photos with Dhanashree from his Instagram account. Notably, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony on December 22, 2020, in Gurgaon.
