Addressing the trolling at his Hyderabad concert, Diljit shared a video with the caption: “A woman who knows her worth doesn’t need validation—she shines bright enough to light her own way.”

In the clip, speaking in Punjabi, the singer defended the emotional reactions his music evokes, saying: “Music is an emotion. It makes people smile, dance, fight, fall, and even cry. I, myself, have cried several times listening to music. Only those who have emotions can cry. I got you, don’t worry about that.”

He further said: “These girls–no one can stop them. They are independent; not only men but women too earn. They earn and can enjoy themselves. You are insulting her, you are insulting the daughter of the country.”

Diljit’s video also featured snippets of other women tearing up during his concerts. One attendee shared, “I cried. I didn’t hesitate to shed tears. I saw that people were trolling a girl, who was crying. But, I attended the concert, it came out naturally. It is completely natural to cry guys.”
