Former PM Manmohan Singh,92, Passes Away At AIIMS Delhi


Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 92 at the AIIMS Hospital in Delhi on Thursday, December 26.

The former PM was admitted to AIIMS Delhi on Thursday evening after his health deteriorated. He was admitted to the emergency department as his condition remained critical.

The Indian National Congress offered condolences on the passing away of its veteran party leader.

“The demise of renowned economist and former Prime Minister of the country, respected Manmohan Singh ji is an irreparable loss to Indian politics.May God give peace to the departed soul and strength to his family to bear this sorrow.The Delhi Congress family pays homage to the memories of respected Manmohan ji and expresses gratitude for his contribution to nation building,” INC stated in a post on X. 

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband Robert Vadra expressed condolences after Singh’s demise.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ji. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Thank you for your service to our Nation. You will always be remembered for your Economic revolution and the progressive changes, you brought to the country,” he stated in a post on X.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi had reached Delhi AIIMS where former PM Dr Manmohan Singh was admitted earlier today.
