Kangana Ranaut On Sambhal Violence

Over the rise of tension in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal on Sunday after protestors pelted stones when a survey team reached Shahi Jama Masjid to survey the mosque, BJP MP Kangana Ranawat remarked that it is no more hidden that not only Sambhal but there are numerous places in our country where Hindus face restrictions on entry.

“In such areas, people are trying to implement Sharia laws and refugees are being given fake identities…We can see the importance of our mantra ‘Ek hain to safe hain’ and ‘Batenge to katenge’. We have to stay united in our country, “she told news agency ANI.

The survey was being done after a petition filed by senior advocate Vishnu Shanker Jain in the court of the civil judge at Sambhal claiming the mosque of being a temple. “In compliance with the order of the Court passed on 19th November, the second day’s survey was conducted by Advocate Commissioner today from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM. During this survey, all features were studied. Videography and photography directed by the Court have been complied with and now this survey has been completed. The report will be presented before the Court before 29th November or on 29th November, ” Jain said.

Akhilesh Yadav Lashes Out For Repeated Surveys Of Same Site

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticised the repeated surveys at the site, stating that the survey had already been completed. He alleged that the team’s deliberate visit in the morning was an attempt to create unrest and divert attention from discussions about the upcoming elections.

“Information is being received that many people have been hurt, many people are injured and a young man has lost his life. When the survey of the mosque had already been done, why should this government conduct a survey again, that too without any preparation…What happened in Sambhal was done by the BJP government administration so that a discussion cannot be held on the business of elections and the dishonesty in elections, “Akhilesh Yadav added.

Reacting to SP’s repeated surveys at the site remarks, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak told news agency ANI, “They (SP) raise finger on the Judicial system. The team that went to Sambhal, went on the orders of the court. The police have done their work in whatever has gone wrong there. The people of the entire state have come to know you and they will not accept this.”

The protestors started pelting stones at police outside the mosque while the survey team was inside the premises. Police used tear gas to control the situation and detained several people indulged in stone pelting.
