President Droupadi Murmu has appointed governors for five states as informed by a statement from the President’s Secretariat on Tuesday. Former Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla has been appointed as the Governor of Manipur.
Arif Mohammed Khan, the Governor of Kerala, has been appointed as the Governor of Bihar while Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, the current Bihar Governor, will be sent to Kerala.
She accepted the resignation of Raghubar Das as the Governor of Odisha. Hari Babu Kambhampati, the Governor of Mizoram, appointed as the Governor of Odisha.
General Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd.), has been appointed as the Governor of Mizoram.
These appointments will take effect on the dates they assume charge of their respective offices, the communique stated.
