This is the latest in a series of bomb threats at various places, including schools, over the last few months. The bomb threats have been issued to various institutions and facilities, such as schools, hospitals, banks, airports, and planes. With the Delhi elections due in just two-three months, every security threat must be taken seriously.

After the threat on Friday morning, classes were suspended and the students were informed not to come to the school. This is the second threat in a week. On December 9, a bomb threat was sent to around 40 schools in Delhi via email. On receiving the email, the school administration immediately informed the parents and all the children were sent back home. At that time, the police teams found nothing suspicious.
Despite the rise in hoax calls, the authorities and security agencies are not taking the threats lightly as one slip-up could cost several lives.
According to an India Today report, the threat on Friday mentioned that a “secret dark web” group and several “red rooms” were involved in the placement of the bomb. It also indicated that the bomb was placed keeping in mind the parents-teacher meeting at the schools. So far, the IP address has not been traced.
Although the classes had not begun by the time the school was alerted, parents had already started reaching. One of the parents said that DPS sent a message to them, but they saw it only after arriving at the school gate. However, the school did not mention the bomb threat in the text message.
