This incident bears a resemblance to a previous case from 2023 in Navi Mumbai, where a man attempted to flee the scene after a traffic violation.
In April 2023, traffic policeman Siddeshwar Mali and another officer attempted to stop a car driven by Aditya Bembde, who was allegedly under the influence of drugs. As they tried to check the car, Bembde allegedly tried to run over Mali.
Mali was knocked and landed on the bonnet of the car. Bembde then drove over 20 kilometers with the traffic cop clinging to the car bonnet.
