Former Maharashtra minister and NCP (SP) leader Anil Deshmukh was injured in an attack in Katol city of Maharashtra on Monday.
The incident unfolded earlier this evening when a group of people pelted stones at Deshmukh’s car, resulting in injuries to him. The local police have arrived on the scene and are investigating the incident.
NCP (SP) leader Anil Deshmukh alleged that some people pelted stones at his car on Katol Jalalkheda Road in Katol Assembly Constituency.
He had suffered injuries in the incident and is being taken to a nearby hospital. Anil Deshmukh’s son Salil is contesting the election from the Katol seat on NCP Sharad Pawar’s ticket.
