The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has ordered a judicial inquiry into the recent violence in Sambhal. Since the announcement, reactions from various political leaders have been pouring in. Among them, Ayodhya MP and Samajwadi Party leader Awadhesh Prasad has also voiced his opinion. He stated that, as far as the commission is concerned, he knows that its report will take three to four months to be submitted, and it holds no legal value. According to him, this is just a tactic to divert public attention. In such cases, the government should intervene immediately. Awadhesh Prasad further emphasized that it is evident that five people have died, and dozens are seriously injured, with police firing shots. He questioned the need for another investigation after the initial one had already been conducted. He pointed out that when the first inquiry committee visited, no untoward incident occurred. However, he questioned why a second investigation was carried out without court orders and who authorized it.
