Virat Kohli Set To Relocate To London With Family, Says Former Coach

Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, has confirmed that the former Indian captain plans to move to London with his family after his retirement. While not divulging many details, Sharma revealed that Kohli intends to spend his post-cricket life in London.

Over the past few years, Virat and his wife Anushka Sharma have often been spotted in the city during breaks from Kohli’s cricket commitments. Their son, Akaay, was also born in London on February 15 earlier this year.

“Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to be leaving India and shifting very soon. However, right now, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family apart from cricket,” Sharma told Dainik Jagran.

Virat Kohli is currently focused on IND vs AUS Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with his next major assignment being 2025 Champions Trophy. Although the exact timing of his next trip to London is unclear, it is expected to take place between Champions Trophy and start of IPL 2025 in March.

Virat Kohli is facing pressure to deliver strong performances following disappointing outings in both innings of recent IND vs AUS 3rd Test at the Gabba. He began the Border-Gavaskar Trophy tour with a brilliant century in the series opener in Perth, but his form dipped, managing only 21 runs across the next three innings. Despite this, Kohli’s childhood coach remains confident that the star batter will shine in the Boxing Day Test at the MCG and the New Year’s Test in Sydney.

“Virat Kohli is playing the best cricket of his career. He also scored a century against Australia in the first Test. I believe two more centuries will come from his bat in the next two matches. This is a player who has always enjoyed his game. When a player enjoys his game, he gives his best. Virat’s form is not a matter of concern. This player knows how to bat in difficult situations and make the team win,” Rajkumar Sharma said.
